Getting Help for Children & Youth

Children and youth are resilient, and every one of them deserves to be protected. Let’s all work together to create a community that is knowledgeable of the dangers and can identify if a child is at risk or has become a victim of crime.

Some indicators that may signal that a child is at risk or is being victimized are:

  • not wanting to be left alone,
  • changes in eating habits,
  • excessive worrying,
  • regressive behaviours like bed-wetting,
  • sexual behaviour that is inappropriate for their age,
  • self-harming behaviours, nightmares,
  • unexplained bruising or bleeding.

For emergency services, please call 911 or visit your nearest hospital

If you are concerned about a child’s safety or well-being, contact your local Children’s Aid Society immediately.
